Today - 4 years ago first Embraer E170 was delivered to S7 airlines and arrived at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport. The Aircraft with registration VQ-BBO was produced in 2003 and was previously operated by Republic Airlines - US carrier. Important to note that it was first E170 aircraft in Russia and 1st aircraft painted in S7's new colour scheme.
It was a first big project I was working on! 4 different locations, 17 aircraft in total and more than 40 people involved within 5 different parties: Airline, Lessor, MRO, Part 21 organisation and various consultancy companies. It was a good experience to work with Embraer EMB 170 aircraft and possibility to work with something other than Boeing or Airbus.
PS.. It is always satisfactory to see these aircraft flying away after few sleepless nights prior to redelivery.
